What are "worry stones"?
Worry stones are smooth, hand-finished tools designed with a thumb groove that encourages steady, calming movement. Used for centuries as a grounding tool, they provide a simple, tactile way to ease stress, redirect/gives the mind something calm to focus on and support emotional balance.
My handcrafted Comfort Cookies are made from polymer clay, baked with added textures- are soothing, durable and made for focus and sensory relief.
It's easy to keep in a pocket, backpack, or bedside drawer, so it’s always close when they need a little comfort. A worry stone becomes a tiny, dependable buddy that helps children feel safe, grounded, and a bit more in control of big feelings.
A Comfort Cookie is a tiny buddy whispering:
“Hey, you’re okay. Take a moment.”
A little about us..
The idea for these “worry stones” started long before I ever shaped the first one. It began in quiet moments with my daughter, both of us navigating the world in our own sensory way. As someone on the spectrum myself, I understood her overwhelm on a level that didn’t need words. We both relied on small things we could hold, something to anchor our hands when our minds felt overstimulated.
I wanted to make something intentionally soothing, friendly and fun looking little object shaped for comfort and self-regulation. Something children could hold to be there when their thoughts got too big or the world got too bright.
So I started crafting. Each Comfort Cookie became a piece of our story, molded with the understanding of what it feels like to need a calm point to hold onto. What began as a way to support my daughter, especially for at school and social settings, grew into something I hope can support many others!
